On the Road

Made it out of Cleveland. I took a picture in the air and it’s kind of hard to see through the cloud cover, but the lake looks like a cracked mirror. Very cool.

Right now I’m in the Detroit airport waiting for my flight into London and I have to say that, despite the fact that bottled water costs $2.19, this is probably the best airport ever. Not only is it like a giant mall with everything from plushies to Obama sweatshirts, it has a shiny red train so that you don’t even have to walk the quarter mile to your gate. Since I have a 5 hour layover, I’ve been riding the train back and forth for fun and to practice for the London subway ;) I have also learned how to navigate the moving walkways without tripping.

Plus, there is a round, jumping fountain like the one at Tower City.

Also, there is a tunnel between the terminals that lights up like crazy. And not only does it light up, it plays classical music and the lights change colors in time to the music. Totally cool. I have a video of this (shut up, it was cool) that I'm trying to put in, but it won't upload even though it's only like 3 seconds...

So I have clearly already taken ridiculous amounts of pictures and videos. God only knows how much I will take when I’m actually out of the country.

Now I just have another 3 hours to wait for my plane.
